Eminem Joins Skylar Grey, Polo G, and Mozzy for ‘Venom 2’ Track “Last One Standing”
Venom: Let There Be Carnage, following an extended pandemic delay, is almost in theaters. And with it comes new music from Eminem, who previously contributed music to the 2018 original.
The track, a new Skylar Grey single titled “Last One Standing,” was first confirmed to be on the horizon by Em himself earlier this week. Also featured alongside Grey and Em are Polo G and Mozzy. Stream it below via Spotify or up top through YouTube.
As recently announced, Eminem plays Rick Wershe Jr.—a.k.a. White Boy Rick—in 50 Cent’s new Starz series Black Mafia Family. Speaking with Complex for a piece published in September, 50 explained what drew Em to the project so many years after his acclaimed turn in 8 Mile.
“He’s seeing an opportunity to support me in a different way on this project, it’s why he came out,” 50 told Complex. “I think what attracted him to it was me directing it. The pressure that he would have working for someone else and they have these expectations and things like that.”
Em’s most recent studio album, the Hitchcock-inspired Music to Be Murdered By, hit streamers last January and ultimately debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Featured on the album was the posthumous Juice WRLD collab “Godzilla,” which was rolled out with a video from director Cole Bennett.
Meanwhile, Skylar Grey—a frequent Em collaborator—is fresh off the release of the new single “Partly Cloudy With a Chance of Tears.” At the top of last month, Grey shared the track’s official video.
