2022 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection Officially Unveiled
For the second year in a row, OHSU Doernbecher has gone virtual for the unveiling of the latest Freestyle collection due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19.
OHSU Doernbecher announced on social media and its website that its 2022 Freestyle collection will be revealed virtually next month. The latest collection will include seven Nike sneakers along with apparel and equipment that are designed by patients Ayman Wamala, Catalina Vasquez, Cidni O’Brien, Maylee Phelps, Michael Wilson, Sam David Phelps, and Zoe Taaffe.
Since 2004, the Doernbecher Freestyle program has provided the opportunity for over 100 young patients who are battling illnesses to design their own Nike and Jordan Brand shoes. Thus far, the program has helped raise more than $30 million for the children’s hospital.
The virtual unveiling of the 2022 Doernbecher Freestyle collection will take place on Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. PST. Tickets for the event can be purchased here for $50.
