Stream Future’s New Album ‘I Never Liked You’ f/ Drake, Kanye, Young Thug, Kodak Black, and More
Future returns with his ninth studio solo album, I Never Liked You. But that wasn’t all. After teasing the visuals on social media, the rapper also dropped the music video for his Kanye West collab “Keep It Burnin.”
I Never Liked You arrives nearly two years after Future’s last solo release, 2020’s High Off Life, and serves as the Atlanta rapper’s first full-length project since he joined forces with Lil Uzi Vert in November 2020 for their collaborative project, Pluto x Baby Pluto.
Earlier this month, Future took to Instagram to announce I Never Liked You, writing, “Date 4.29 title TBA.” The post came on the heels of a previous tweet in which he teased the album’s imminent release.
“When the album drop ain’t no being humble…Da biggest.”
The 16-song project comes with a stacked lineup of guests, with two features from Drake as well as appearances from YSL’s Young Thug and Gunna on the same track, Kodak Black, Tems, and EST Gee.
“Anytime we work in the studio, the level, the energy—we’re trying to perfect this shit but still stay raw, still stay gritty, and still be moving at the speed of the universe,” Future said of collaborating with Drake in a recent interview with GQ. “It’s something that you have to work at, but it’s something that you have to find too.”
Future also discussed the lengthy (at least for him) time between releasing projects. “That’s because I’m happy,” he explained. “I’m genuinely happy with life. And there was a time where I was only happy when I was on the stage, and in the studio. Like it was my escape.”
