Mumbai News Live Updates (October 28): Kamal Kishore Mishra, the accused filmaker who was booked for attempt to murder was produced before a magistrate court on Friday afternoon and remanded to police custody till October 30 for further probe. He had allegedly run his car over his wife’s legs in the parking lot of their residential apartment in Andheri (West) on October 19.
Darius Pandole, who was a passenger in the car crash that tragically resulted in the deaths of two passengers including former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry, was discharged from Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital (HN RFH) on Friday, October 28 after 54 days of admission. Dr Anahita Pandole, his wife who was driving the car, resulting too is under recovery and will soon be ready to be discharged. Darius underwent a surgery on his forearm and a maxo facial surgery. He was also battling infection due to the severity of his injuries. Dr Anahita who underwent reconstruction surgery is now undergoing physiotherapy at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the announcement that Tata-Airbus C-295 transport aircraft project will come up at Vadodara in Gujarat set off a political war of words in Maharashtra on Thursday with the Opposition blaming the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government of allowing yet another project to head to the neighbouring state.“Another project! I have voiced this since July, asking Khoke Sarkar to try for it (Tata Airbus). I wonder why every project is going to other states in the last 3 months. Loss of faith in khoke sarkar is evident on industry level. Will the industry minister resign after losing 4 projects?,” MLA Aaditya Thackeray tweeted.Meanwhile, Uddhav Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi blamed the “50 crore” sarkar for the state losing out on the project.
